Special Case Study - Lincoln Park

The following is a special case study that continues our investigation of the residence in Lincoln Park, NJ.  The home owners (who are NJPR Researchers) have repeatedly witnessed the apparition of a young boy of approximately four-years of age in several locations throughout their house.  The one homeowner, Amee, sees the apparition as solid and real as we see other people,  However, her husband Rudy has not seen the apparition directly but has felt it's presence in the form of cold spots and a feeling of being watched.  Their two-year old son also appears to be able to see the child and sometimes talks to it.  Although they have attempted to communicate with the little boy, to date he has not spoken or indicated that he can talk to them.  Being that they are NJPR researchers, the family has attempted to document the sightings of this apparition whenever possible. 

In late December of 2007, Amee was sitting in the family room with her son when she looked up to see the apparition of the little boy staring at them from across the room by the window.  She calmy got up and walked into the kitchen to grab her digital camera, then returned to where her son was playing.  The entire time the apparition watched her but did not move.  She then took the following series of photographs within a two-minute period.  The camera flash was not turned on when these were taken:

 

This is the first photo taken with the apparition of the little boy standing in the middle of the window.  Notice the unusual dark ring with the shadowy curve above it.  While Amee could clearly see the little boy standing there, this is all that showed up in her photo.

This photo was taken just a few seconds after the first photo, this time with the camera held vertically. The same dark ring and shadowy curve are observed in the exact same position as before.
 

 

A minute later the apparition of the little boy disappeared, so Amee took another photograph of the area where he was standing.  Notice that the dark circle and shadowy curve are now gone.
 

 

For comparison, here is the second photo with the colors inverted to better view the anomaly.

 

On January 9th, 2008, Amee was home alone during the day when she heard a noise come from upstairs.  Being a trained investigator, she grabbed her digital camera and proceeded to the staircase. Just as she reached the bottom of the stairs she looked up to see the little boy standing on the third step from the top staring at her.  She set her camera to record video and recorded the following clip.

Although the clip looks fuzzy and out of focus, the camera is pointed directly at the apparition standing on the stairs.  The white mass appears to have a solid texture.  About halfway through the clip the mass begins to ripple similar to a heat wave effect.  Amee said that at this point the little boy took a step down the stairs.
   

After the apparition vanished, Amee shot another video clip for reference to show where the apparition was standing on the stairs and where the camera was focused.

At this time she contacted Lead Researcher Mark Johnson to inform him of what just happened. Mark was able to immediately drive over to Amee's house to help investigate this incident.  While at the top of the stairs Amee once again saw the little boy standing next to Mark.  Although she could see him clearly, Mark could not see or sense a presence.  Mark attempted to communicate with the little boy while Amee took a series of photos.  Although no communication was experienced, the little boy remained in place for about fifteen minutes while Mark attempted to talk to him.

 

Mark attempts to communicate with the spirit of the little boy who is standing right in front of him.  Although Amee could see him clearly, Mark could not see him.
 

 

Another photo of where the little boy was standing.  Nothing unusual appeared in the photo.
 

 

Mark puts his hand directly through the spot where the little boy was standing.  Mark did not feel a cold sport or anything else out of the ordinary, although he did experience a slight tingle on the back of his next.
